IT Support Specialist

About your role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, managing IT assets, and assisting with various IT-related tasks.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.


What you will do:

  • Respond to and resolve incoming support requests via phone, email, or in-person in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues related to hardware, software, network, and peripherals.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to users on the use of company systems, software applications, and IT equipment
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including hardware and software
  • Assist in the procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT assets across all business units
  • Maintenance of Equipment inclusive of repair, refurbishing and salvage
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure all assets are accounted for and properly maintained
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and network equipment
  • Participate in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures
  • Office Technical Support Duties not limited to:
    • Issuing & Return 
    • Monthly stocktake
    • Planning of inventory refresh life cycles to keep up to date and gathering of hardware/equipment specifications for purchase
  • Conduct research & development for new hardware, software and developer libraries
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT procedures, configurations, and support activities
  • Identify trends in support requests and recommend improvements to reduce recurring issues
  • Assist in maintaining the security of IT systems and data
  • Support efforts to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Participate in regular security audits and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as required

*Equipment refers to cameras, computers, laptops and electronic instruments


A successful candidate should have:

  • At least 1 year of working experience in any field 
  • Good computer knowledge and has an interest in computers
  • Good communication skills
    • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical users effectively
