Business Development Manager, SaaS

About your role:

The SaaS Business Development role is an Managerial-level position that reports directly to TSL’s founder. This is a ‘hunter’ role focusing on building and growing our SaaS solution business.

We are now at the stage where we are rapidly expanding across South-East Asia and are looking for the right talent to be part of this journey. Prior experience in SaaS business development is essential.


What you will do:

Develop and Strategize Go-To-Market Plans:

  • Lead the development of Go-To-Market strategies for our SaaS products, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives
  • Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics and adapt GTM plans accordingly to capitalize on new opportunities

Oversee End-to-End Sales Development Operations:

  • Take ownership of the entire sales lifecycle for our suite of SaaS products, from lead generation to deal closure, up to account management
  • Develop and implement effective sales processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Regularly analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive revenue growth

Identify and Cultivate New Business Leads:

  • Proactively prospect and generate new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging various lead generation techniques and tools
  • Develop compelling sales pitches tailored to address specific client challenges and objectives

Cultivate and Nurture Client Relationships:

  • Foster long-term, strategic relationships with existing clients, serving as their trusted advisor on all matters related to our SaaS solutions
  • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, escalations, and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction
  • Assist on every onboarding for new accounts, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation process

Collaborate with Development Team on Technology Roadmaps:

  • Serve as a liaison, facilitating communication and alignment on product roadmap priorities
  • Gather insights from client interactions, market feedback, and competitive analysis to inform product enhancements and feature developments
  • Conduct beta testing for new feature releases, providing feedback for iterative improvements
  • Ensure timely delivery of product upgrades and enhancements, working closely with the development team to meet customer expectations

A successful candidate should have:

  • Diploma or Degree Holder
  • Proven track record of ‘hunter’ type sales role
  • Experience in a SaaS business development is essential
  • Self-starter with good people skills; is comfortable with a dynamic pace and manages multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • High energy & positive attitude
